Privacy Policy
Your data is yours. We use it only to improve your experience on ShopINdoor — never to sell, exploit, or compromise your trust.
We collect only the information necessary to provide you with a safe, personalised marketplace experience.
Your data is used to run, improve, and protect the ShopINdoor platform.
We do not sell your personal data. Period. We share your information only in these specific circumstances:
With transaction counterparties — your name and delivery details are shared with the seller/buyer only when a transaction requires it.
With service providers — payment processors (Paystack), logistics partners, and analytics providers receive limited data under strict confidentiality agreements.
With authorities — only when legally required by Nigerian law or a valid court order.
All third parties who receive your data are contractually bound to protect it and may not use it for their own marketing purposes.
ShopINdoor uses cookies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and improve platform performance. We use four categories of cookies: Necessary (always on), Functional, Analytics, and Marketing.
You can manage your cookie preferences at any time through our Cookie Policy page. Disabling non-essential cookies will not affect your ability to use the core platform features, though some personalisation may be reduced.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data including AES-256 encryption for data at rest, TLS 1.3 for all data in transit, bcrypt password hashing, two-factor authentication, and regular security audits.
While we take every reasonable precaution, no internet transmission is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you within 72 hours as required under the NDPR.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. After account deletion, we retain minimal records for 6 years to comply with Nigerian financial regulation and tax law requirements.
Transaction records and escrow history are retained for 7 years after the transaction date to comply with the FIRS and CAMA requirements. All other data is deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), you have the following rights over your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@shopindoor.com.
ShopINdoor has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) as required under the NDPR. For any privacy-related queries, data subject requests, or complaints, please contact:
